Family of the Month
The Family of the Month are members of our Catholic Community,
selected by the Grand Knight as people who collectively exemplify
in their daily lives the principles of Catholic life, and are instrumental
to our successes in our Church, Community, and Council.
The Family of the Month for April is a husband and wife team that has contributed a great deal to the life and history of Good Samaritan Council. This Brother Sir Knight is a Past Grand Knight of Good Samaritan Council and a Former District Deputy. He has been active in every aspect of Council operations from Council leadership to participation on the Compass and Anchor Club Board of Directors. You will still find him working behind the bar once in a while at Friday Knight Dinners.
This husband and wife pair organizes and leads the Council Fish Fry Team (although I think we all know who is in charge in the kitchen) and in the past two months they have provided two very successful dinner events for the enjoyment of the Council and the community. They also lead the team that provides breakfast for all the members and their families after each Council Corporate Communion. Together they have raised a family of Brother Knights and are often joined at Council events by their grandchildren.
In recognition of their example of a Catholic marriage, their continued service to the Knights of Columbus and Good Samaritan Council, and for the wise counsel they have provided to me over the past two years, it gives me great pleasure to name Gary and Nancy Ball as the Good Samaritan Family of the Month for April 2008.
